The US Capital has one of the oldest Gay Pride Parades. (See above photo) The first one was in New York City after Stonewall. On Pride Day in Washington we used to go early and get a window seat in a gay bar to watch the festivities. In those days, 1980s, the parade start off and led by Dikes on Bikes all of whom were naked form waist up and proud of their large bouncing boobs. Next the guys showed their parts as much as possible to avoid arrest.

Over the years the event attracted more straight people and less older gay people. Too wild for them? Maybe, but it must be remembered that the first gay parades caused riots in the US as they are doing in socially backward counties today. Also, to be remembered and celebrated is that citizens always send their younger members to fight wars and even die for causes. People standing in the line of social change, especially gay ones, have the right to use whatever arms they think best all of which started in the US with tossing beer cans at cops at Stonewall Inn over a half century ago.
