California Anti Gay Marriage Law Still on the Books

In 2008, the dinosaur era of gay rights, the California voters put Proposition 8, an anti gay marriage law on the books. It was made null by the US Supreme Court in a 2015 ruling therefore legalizing same sex marriage everywhere, but this was before the high court fell into the hands of extremest right wing justices that have started overruling the gains in civil right in the last half century. If the US Supreme Court Justices reverse the 2015 ruling on same sex marriages, California's Proposition 8 will rise from the dead and end same sexes marriages in that state. To keep this from happening, some state legislators are seeking the support of a two thirds majority to rescind Proposition 8, thereby sending it back to the people to vote again to end or keep it.
