The US Supreme Court ruled today in a 6 to 3 vote (June 15) that job discrimination based on one's sexual preference whether in dating or being transsexual was a violation of the 1964 civil rights law. Only 21 US states have laws protecting Gay People from job discrimination. No more. It is now the law of the land.

This ruling is even more important than the 2014 Court ruling allowing same sex marriage because not all gay people want to marry but nearly everyone wants to work without fear of discrimination and/or losing his job.

The White House instructed the Justice Department to oppose this before the Court, which again begs the question as to why would any gay person would vote for a president or a party that does not protect him from being fired because he is gay.
