Making Gay Commercially Rewarding

The photo above is from the Levi Pride 2016 collection and shows the company's attempt to reach out and take advantage of the gay market. (As well as an attempt to return to the "Hanky Code" of the 1970s.) Disney has joined the rush to turn "pink" money into green income with a host of hats, tee shirts, and water bottle costing just under $20. Then there is the gay line of shoe ware from Converse, Nike and Adidas, which range from $100 to $150.

The clothing and entertainment businesses are learning what the travel industry has long known, namely that there is money in those gay bank accounts.
