Having coming through the the most religious season of the year in Christianity, I was amazed reading the results of a new poll take by a competent pollster: Pew Research Center. Of the fifty countries polled, the USA came near the middle with 53% of those polled saying religion is important in their lives. Only three "Christian" countries in the group said it was more important. The rest above the US were Muslim Countries. The other major English speaking countries came in much lower. Canada 27%, England 21%, and Australia 18%, fourth from lowest. (I've posted a large chart photo of this poll in the Forums, which can see by Clicking Here

The results raise thoughtful questions like why is religion half as important in Canada as in neighboring USA? Or why is is so difficult getting Australia to accept gay marriage in a country where religion is among those counties where religion is a low priority? Or why is religion in Italy (seat of the Vatican) half as important as in the US? Things to puzzle over.
