Senator Joseph Silk has introduced a bill entitled "Oklahoma Religious Freedom Reformation Act of 2015." Mr. Silk say there is a need for this bill. "The L.G.B.T. movement is the main thing, the primary thing that's going to be challenging religious liberties and the freedom to live out religious convictions." He says that gays "don't have a right to be served in every single store. People need to have the ability to refuse service if it violates their religious convictions."

(The above photo has nothing to do with Oklahoma sports. It is a rugby team in English getting naked to protest homophobia.)

Where was this man when people were refusing to serve people of color due to their racist religious belief? Didn't he get the message that if you are in business to serve the public, then you must serve all the public.

To get an idea of the extent of racism in Oklahoma, a fraternity at the State University went on a rampage over the weekend against African Americans posting signs, chanting the N word, and posting films of their rant on line. To the credit of the U. of O, they closed down the fraternity, gave them a day to move out, and began boarding up the window. After a half century of the Civil Right Act being in force, what are these young people thinking? And what are they thinking about gay people? People like Senator Joseph Silk show us exactly how homophobic many Oklahomans are.

Whenever you chants or read signs or hear people taking about offending religious, change the word "gay" to "people of color" and see outdated and ignorant their understanding of our Democratic Government is.
