Has the US Supreme Court Hinted at its Future Ruling on Gay Marriage?

The nine US Justices usually play their hands close to the chest, and nothing is leaked about up coming decisions, but this week, three Justices lower their cards a bit. When a recalcitrant Alabama Judge refused to follow a Federal Court Judge's order to start same sex marriage in the "deep south" state, the State Judge appealed to the US Supreme Court to delay the ruling. The High Court overwhelmingly said no.

Speaking out the two Justices living closest to the Jurassic Park Legal Age, Thomas and Scalia, complained that Alabama should have been allowed to put the Federal ruling on hold until the High Court finally rules on gay marriage in the summer.

Next came Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's comment that "Americans wouldn't need a large adjustment to welcome legal gay marriage." And of course, she is on target. The majority of Americans accept equality in marriage. Only is there push back in US Congress, State Legislators, and pulpits.
