Hi Doc: This is not a 24/7 problem and not sure if I can describe it well enough for you to diagnose it. It's been occurring for over a week. If I touch my scrotum it's painful but the more I touch it the less painful it is. There is no discomfort to my testicles. It looks normal and doesn't have any bumps or redness. I tried using Tinactin Spray powder but it hasn't helped. Had an open lesion between my right testicle and my leg about 6 months ago but the doctor cleared that up and also had a blood test which came back negative. Could this be a fungus that is not noticeable? Like I said, this is probably not enough info for you to diagnose but am hoping you might have some idea of what it is. TIA you provide a great service. -Ed
Ed, this is a hard one to diagnose without being able to examine your scrotum. Without any redness or other visible changes, I doubt that this is a fungal, yeast, or bacterial infection. There's a possibility that it could be a contact allergy or an allergy to something like laundry soap. If it continues, seeing your personal physician would be a good idea.
