My partner and I celebrated the 15th Anniversary of our meeting this month. He had seen a photo of me in CR Magazine and made contact. In late 1996 and early 1997 we talked on the phone several times before we arranged a meeting. (At Right: Cover photo from 1996 CR Magazine.)

Rule One: On the first date, always meet in a public place.

Burned in my mind is the image of him outside the Metro Station reading a book and waiting for me. We went to lunch, enjoyed a good talk, and rushed back to my place.

Rule Two: It's okay to kiss -and more- on the first date.

Rule Three: Date for a period of time.

You need to have at least one good disagreement, kiss and make up, and plan your future. Six months later, we began living together, and I'm looking forward to the next fifteen years. Ron
