To Ron: When I look back at my first days in college and my discovery of male-on-male sex just exploded, I'm surprised that it didn't change my attitudes about the same. Oh, I enjoyed homo-sex plenty, but I never did take in how really widespread it was. And this was in the early 1960s. Amazing how built-in taboos, often things we're unaware of, can shape the way we view things. Yours, W
To W: When we look back on younger days, we have such mixed feelings thinking things like "If I had only," but hindsight is perfect while the present comes to us one day at a time dragging chains of yesteryear In the past, we often were unknowingly the makers of our predestined fate. I went away to college having abstained from gay sex since having become a church member and buying into its antiquated views. It did not take long in academia for an older student to slip his hand to my crotch and set aflame the smoldering sex embers that had been smoldering. We had sex, and if I had had any sense, I would have shuffled off religious fantasies about gay sex and welcomed it with open arms and fly,😉 but by then the future had been decided, and it would take decades before the coming of sane sexual realization.
This is much like the story of all out gay people in the last century, but thank the gods we found the best course for ourselves.
