Yeah, in the above photo the guy is "relieving" himself at a more modern and revealing structure than the old French Pissoirs of former times. A lot of people aren't happy about a man "doing his business" next to the Seine, near tourists, and in sight of the holy ruins of Notre Dame, but pissing in public has a long tradition in the City of Lights.

Truth be told the old public Paris pissoir often only covered a man from the knees to his chest, some even less. Everyone could see and smell what was going on.

As shocking as some people find it, there is appreciation from men who have have to piss in places like New York's Time Square where one had to buy food in a restaurant "to answer the call of nature."
