Nick Sauer, Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives, last week resigned his post after his former girl friend reveled he has been using her photo "catfishing" for men on Instagram. (Catfishing is a term used when someone pretends to be someone else, often on social media, for personal gain.)

The girl friend reported that Sauer admitted that he had used her photos over a two year period seeking relationships with straight men on line where he enjoyed graphic sexual discussions.

Apparently, the internet for some sexually frustrated men is the equivalent of Ulysses tied to the ship's mast so he could hear the siren's call without a sexual and deadly encounter.

Sauer did not tell the girl friend whether or not he and the straight men ever engaged in a sexual encounter.

My question about "catfishing:" What possible happy sexual ending could the fooler have with the fooled? If any of these straight men went to bed with Sauer, there would certainly be a "Crying Game"* moment, maybe a violent one.
