They call it "A Very English Scandal," on BBC, and it is based on a true story of a gay British politician, Jeremy Thorpe, who was tried in 1979 for conspiracy and incitement to murder his male lover, Norman Scot, a stable boy. The story is told in three parts. (Not sure when it plays outside of England, but I'll pass it on when I find out.)

No use spoiling the story. However, the off camera interviews with Hugh Grant have been very gay friendly. He says that everyone ought to be allowed to love and marry the person he loves regardless of sex.

On a lighter side, Grant said the kissing scenes in the film were for real, and that he got a beard rash from kissing the other actor. For more on this TV Series, Click Here.
