Meanwhile back on our planet, the earth continues circling the toilet. The heating world is in such present danger that scientists this past week told politicians and religious quacks to get over their fantasies about climate change and face our dire heating problem. We are approaching a point of no return. Talk about Hell, that will be the earth's end without immediate and drastic corrective measures.

While the new satellite orbits Jupiter, 18 million children in the USA live in homes where daily hunger is a problem. In the whole world a child dies every 5 seconds of hunger. Children and adults will continue to die in US gun killings (mass and individually) while preacher and politicians yammer about abortion, freedom to own machine guns, and sodomites going to hell. The US can do marvels in space but has lost its humanity and charity for its own people at ground zero.

We gay people are enjoying the freedoms extended to us in this century. But we should remember that the "last hired are the first fired," and if nothing else, the current political fracas has shown us that one doesn't have to scratch the apparently benevolent surface of our society to find some disgustingly ugly people and their hateful attitudes.
