Who would have thought that the Republican Party Platform states that more than half the people in the Lone Star State are gay? Yet, that is exactly what was posted this week in the GOP's relentless attempt to gather homophobic voters under its self righteous wings. Here's the short of what the Republican writer(s) put on paper:

"Homosexuality is a chosen behavior that is contrary to the fundamental unchanging truths that has been ordained by God and the Bible ... and shared by the majority of Texans."

Just imagine: 14 million people in Texas woke up this morning and found that they were thought gay by their own political party.

Okay, here is the catch. Whoever wrote the entire paragraph quoted above must have missed a lot of days in English class. Any 9th grade Texas teacher (gay or straight) would have given him an F. The writer was so anxious to call in the bible and his god to back up his homophobia that he forgot things like subject agreeing with verbs and where commas go and don't go.
