Good News!

Huffington Post: More Americans feel comfortable with a presidential candidate who identifies as gay or lesbian than with one who identifies as an evangelical Christian, according to a new poll.

The latest WSJ/NBC poll listed a series of qualities in a potential presidential candidate and asked respondents whether they'd "be enthusiastic," "be comfortable with," "have some reservations about" or "be very uncomfortable with" a candidate with each of those qualities.

The results revealed that Americans are actually quite open to having a gay presidential candidate. Sixty-one percent said they would be either enthusiastic about or comfortable with a gay or lesbian candidate, while only 37 percent said they would have reservations or be uncomfortable.

By comparison, respondents were a little less comfortable with the prospect of a candidate who is an evangelical Christian. Fifty-two percent said they'd be enthusiastic about or comfortable with an evangelical Christian running for president, while 44 percent expressed some degree of hesitancy about the idea. Bad News?

A woman in Nebraska has file a suit with a local Federal Court to sue all the gay people in the world for God. In a hand written brief, she says she will appear in court without a lawyer to defend her complaint. So far, the court has not summons her to appear or indicated the court will hear the case.

From Ron:Apparently, her god has no standing with the the US Court system, nor is He able to do anything to stop the move to marriage equality. One wonders how she will collect money from gay people in other countries as they are not bound to any US Court decision, any more than we would be to theirs.

Also, if she wins, who will get the money? Will her god put in an appearance to get the cash? Or will she, like clergymen and priests for thousands of years be the custodians and keeper of Gob's bank account?

Gay people who are fretting her case will succeed in the US Courts should do two things: First, move your cash assets to an off-shore account. Second, check into the nearest mental institution. To read the article, Click Here.

Note: On Wednesday, Judge John M. Gerrard of the U.S. District Court for Nebraska dismissed the case. "To the extent that she asks for anything from the Court, it is a declaration that homosexuality is sinful, a question that the Court cannot answer," the memorandum reads. "The Court may decide what is lawful, not what is sinful."
