News that should not be news: Did anyone know that after 114 years that gay people can now march in the Mother of all USA St. Patrick's Day Parades, Boston? Shouldn't this have taken place say at the turn of the 21st Century or around the time when Massachusetts because the first state where same sex marriage was legalized?

Why did it take so long? O yeah, it was a Roman Catholic Church thing. The priests believed in allowing gays in their pews but not in their parades. But wait. Gays have been marching in the St. Patty's Parades in Ireland for some time. Why not in Irish American parades?

You have to wonder what happens to religion when it is imported to these shores. A gay Catholic can marry in Spain, and other Catholic countries, included in South America, but in the USA, they are still trying to keep gay people from things they excel in: Dressing up and celebrating!
