To Ron: The more I read the article about Clinton, the angrier I got. Especially the last line, in which Former Vice President "Dick" Cheney fully supports Gay Rights. Oh Really? He has a Lesbian daughter, but I'm betting if he had had a gay son, he would DEFINITELY feel differently.
I think Bill Clinton is a hypocrite. Anyone who claims to have all these Gay couple friends should know better than to have promoted "Don't ask; don't tell" in the first place.
How do I feel Gays should react? We should be out demonstrating, putting our mouths and our money towards the causes we want, that includes trying to register for civil unions and marriage, and filing lawsuits when we are denied these rights. We will get in trouble by not paying taxes, and not fighting in our country's wars, legal and illegal. BUT, we shouldn't be taxed for money to educated THEIR KIDS, we shouldn't be putting our money in THEIR church baskets, for two examples. Mark
From Ron: I am reminded of the retired Supreme Court Justice who said that he wished he had voted the other way on a gay issue. Had he done so, we would be closer to gay rights by ten years. "Woulda, Coulda, and Shouda" count for nothing."
