From Spain: Ron and Hector: Thanks for a wonderful site. I have visited it for years and just felt that it was my time to help support the site.....yes, the Gay community is moving forward..... as we say in Spanish, "Paso por Paso Andamos Lejos." Little by Little we go along way. The most important advance is the acceptance of the Gay lifestyle by so many of our hetero friends. Dear Ron, Yours was the first site that attracted me because of the possibility of older/younger. It seemed that there were relatively few postings way back then and many of them not in my area. I am single, not partnered, and have known I was gay before I knew the word. At about the age of 6 I knew that liked boys and men. While I don't have a profile, I admire what you guys are doing and enjoy sending you an occasional contribution - pity you can't be a 501c3 organization to make your contributions tax free.

From Ron: It's an irony that organizations that fight against gay people can have tax deductible status, but organizations like Apollo that speak out for gay rights have no tax free status.

And I'm positive I should be thanking you and Hector for running Apollo. I also sincerely hope the site will be able to stay operating. It would be a tragedy for it to go under. -Ryan

Dear Ron, Apollo was the first site I found when I came out. Over the last several years it was a refuge me. Now that I have found a partner and left a 40+ yr marriage, I still credit you, Hector, and Apollo for my re-birth. I have contributed in the past and hope to continue, although times are getting tight. -L
