Dear Doc, I have a friend who has a very serious problem with alcohol and needs to go to a rehab and wants to BUT wants one that treats gay people only, if that is available. Would you know of a place that he would be comfortable with , has a excellent reputation and follow up community? Thank you very much. -John

Hi John, Alcoholism is a difficult problem. I have not placed patients in these places so i can't give first hand reports. I have searched and found one in Florida which I presume has other facilities and its mission statement is to treat GLBT alcoholism. On the high end in cost is Affirmations in Arizona.
