Holy Terror Against Gay Marchers
Posted by: Ron @ Tuesday, June 24th 2008 @ 08:25:16 AM EST

Jerusalem, city of three faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Muslim) is in its annual uproar over a Gay Pride Parade. Once again the country's high court was asked to cancel the biggest gay event of the year, and once again the court has declined to do so.

Was the call to stop the parade because gay people were known to misbehave? No, it was not the gays' actions but rather the religious groups that have always raised holy hell over this event.

Last year a man was caught with a bomb ready to detonate gay marchers. One year there was a stabbing of a gay man by a conservative religionist. Other people of the Jewish faith showed up with eggs and bags of human waste to toss on the marchers.

What is it in the extreme religionists of both the Jewish and the Muslim faiths that drives its adherents to violence and murder when their sense of religious priority is offended?

The faithful of both these religions seem to have only one thing in common; they both abhor gay people. They are united by their hatred, not their ethical beliefs. One almost wonders if gay people may be the answer to peace in the Middle East. Get the religious fanatics united and live at peace by their homophobia.

Jerusalem, whose name ironically means "Peace," is claimed as too holy for gay people to contaminate. Apparently, the city is not made unclean by religious people who kill, stab, and throw bags of feces on their enemies.

The Jewish and Arabic fanatics need to get over their violent and holy indignation. If they can have a gay day at Disney World, surely the religion smitten can put up with gay people marching one day a year in Jerusalem.
