oth artists are masters, but many art teachers would prefer the older, Rembrandt, on the right. Rembrandt may be proclaimed the best of the two, but having said that, I suspect if you watch people looking at these paintings, you would observe people spending a lot of time studying the Rubens while only glancing at the Rembrandt. On the other hand, take two other paintings of the same artists, and the Rembrandt may be the first choice. In all works of art, our minds may be telling us one thing while our hearts are telling us something quite different.
