eautiful and luscious as this photo is from 1955, on examination we see a step forward in the photography of men without clothes.  The subject to the left is obviously a model, and all fantasies the viewers have about a toss in the hay with a cowboy are shattered when they see the tan line around his crotch.  This was no Texas Dude.  Rather he was a Hollywood model who spent his days soaking California sun in skimpy underwear.  In the 1950's few people outside of very gay areas wore shorts this brief.  There was probably not a pair in Texas, and certain the kind of man portrayed here would not be caught dead with such a tan line.  Go back and look at the previous pictures, and you will see tan lines conspicuously missing.  Of course, there is nothing wrong with such a tan line, but for art's sake, they probably should not be where they do not belong.  Photograph this guy with a surf board, and he would rate a ten, and let the fantasies begin!
